I've been to Rome and Italy right-minded often enough to understand that eating in Rome isn't eating in Italy - Italians are incredibly specific in their patterns. Until fairly recently a transpacific restaurant in Rome served Venetian or Abruzzese victuals. Nowadays one can find Chinese restaurants and Moroccan restaurants and such in Rome - but I quite haven't bothered with them.
