Roaming the corridors of the West Hartsville Easy on March 15, the Cat in the Hat, Thing 2, Ollie's Rodeo Clow, Demoiselle and Marian spoke with students and parents at the PTO Storybook night.
The party started at 5:30 pm with Parlance Twister Alley, Nate the Great Book of vagueness and music books, all games where students had lots of fun. Books and games were given as prizes for games.
After playing all the games, food for thought Singers performed musical entertainment.
Comments from readers Sheriff Byrd Wayne, Mayor Pro Tem Johnny Andrews and cousin Ralph the mouse (from books Beverly Cleary) Brooke, skim milk for students and their families. Teachers also gave parents reading tips.
West Hartsville concluded the evening with a costume contest. Some familiar faces roamed the halls, including Dorothy, Jack, Hannah Montana and Tiny Chicken, to name a few. The big winner was Caulder Brigman as the Mad Hatter.
It was a success because of the constant support of the community, guest readers, Burry store work and the help of the Hartsville High Beta Club.
