Deciding between filters for 55 gallon aquarium? | Aquarium Blog

So I have a 55 gallons aquarium.

I was exposed a hard old Marineland Bio 400, but it lacks the bio-wheel, and the inlet tube with filter. New they are about $ 46. The parts that I lack, to repay, will rate around $ 30 with shipping if I can not find them locally. Do not put the rights of a whole lot of nuance for me to waste so much to get up and new tournament.

I just set up and started my new Marineland 360 cannister filter ...

For my 55 gal. aquarium. It's utterly a filter and I'm very impressed with how peaceful it is and also what fair go there is. Confidently the be unfeasible will with to be plain - I didn't do a dampen interchange purposely before I set it up so some of the bacteria could get into the filter to recoil start it. I put premium ceramic rings into the tray that holds them and am impressed if what they say about cleaning it monthly is accurate. I've been having to spill the beans my Penguin HOB filters more than weekly and they're in reality a anguish. I might use them again if I get another tropical tank, but never for goldies again. I have a Submariner 9V on my aquarium, Ethan. It's the only filter I'll have to support weekly, expectedly. I'm judgement that the cannister will also assistant to cut down on the perpetuation for that one, too. The Submariner is still and not too big but has a sponge which I found can be rinsed out without a hitch, so I do that weekly. It definitely helps since I have my aquarium in a site that intermittently gets...
