So I've had this tank for painstaking to 12 yrs and no longer remember what model I have. It's a 25 or 30 gallon if I recall correctly and just the impeller blade snapped. How I'm not steadfast but it's apparent now that the magnet shakes and causes noise in the legislature.
The impeller is the one active part on that filter, so it eventually wears out. If yours lasted 12 years of incessant use, that's exceptional. You can order the part directly from Marineland (the manufacturer), or from several despatch-order firms. Some pet stores also carry
