I have two cascade 1000 filters. They trade great.
Is yours even starting up? Can you hear the motor/impellar? If you can discover that soft humming and churning of the motor, then it needs to be primed. The button on the top of the motor will do that. Burden

Cascade 1000 Canister Filter – 265 gph – up to 100 Gallon

I have two other filtration systems higher prices in the old days. They had seals and pumps that was at once, and when I tried to get the parts it was a strange nightmare. Long term, I throw them in the dumpster. I did not have to repay the concentrate or seals. I have owned this cascade 1000 for about a year. The boot routine cleaning lead after the first escape, plug in the engine, meet at the entrance, one with the button until it turns unlock (about five pumps), and it is the same tournament and without common sense. If you put your ear near you understand the run, but otherwise, more than any other system I have owned very concentrated. I use mine for a 30 gallon tank with fresh water 3 "cat, 6" paleocostamus and 5 "three ciclid quarter. Once the tank is correct, I only changed the vehicle twice and a transformation of charcoal. The tank is crystal unreservedly all legitimate, but for more than a year. This filter is fantastic so far. Try it you'll like. The score is not hesitation....

I was wondering what others set forward for the greatest media to use in the baskets. The filter flows from bottom to top. Currentlly there is a prefilter intake sponge, then in first basket (bottom), indecent sponge pad and floss pad. Basket 2- floss pad and fluvalceramic rings I had in the back of my hob's. Basket 3- floss pad and polyester stuffing from wallmart. I am getting some purigen from John to cure liquidate the dejected tannins from all the mopani wood. Anyone have opinions...
