Eric Negus unrolled a ginormous blue pipe, opened a valve on the rigid 450-gallon stainless steel tank in the back of his truck Monday afternoon, and in about a minute, over 500 trout rainbow transplanted Southern Oregon have been exploring the nooks and crannies of their new seriously Waverly Lake.
Fish from the tube in a tub of bubbles. Some jumped into the air, but most ran with delivery in the murky water, striking the resident strolling on ducks.
Negus had already unloaded the same number of fish at Timber-Linn Lake.
Farm Raised Trout Springs near Summer Lake, 1000 8-inch and 60 trout to 16 inches were planted by the estate of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife fishing for spring break, according to biologist Karen Han Wildlife of Corvallis.
"We have the confidence of children and their families will enjoy Spring Break and the great evil should go fishing," said Hans. "They have huge facilities at both lakes and the weather is supposed to be beautiful.
