Help: Ammonia high, can't bring it down

We started a 20 gallon tank the genesis of February. We had an established 15 gallons so I threw in a few decorations and purify and added some old Top End bacteria supplement to start the course. We waited about a week and all is well tested, we have added some of the old fish tank. A few days later, the infiltrate into the old tank is out, we had a snowstorm and were blocked by snow so we could not take over the infusion if we moved the remains of fish in new tank. Everything was high quality, I kept an eye on the fish up interrupt, D, etc. and everything was in a state .... Until a week ago.I went for my weekly untenable under the modification / test and evaluation have shown that ammonia was between 3.0 and 6.0! It was last Sunday, I made changes too trite and ammonia is not acceptable. I added Nutrafin Biological Recur continuation but this does not seem to be all the paraphernalia. Now, the fish begin to show signs of strength ... fin rot fin and tight....

Have a few questions please help me :)

Hey i have a few questions i noticed this morning i have barely hairs on the side and back of my tank and never had any till to today i have had my 55g tank setup for a pygmy over 3 months now honest have my get along stun around 25lbs and 2 crabs nothing else in my tank. Would anyone identify what these hairs might be and can you intercept them ?. Also i noticed fresh algae growing on my tank faster then routine by far, anything i can do to care of the algae and the on my bifocals as well ? Another house i have i noticed my sand is a rusty color and i moved the sand to see if it would get sucked up by my carbon purify and it did but came back again this morning i don't have a protein skimmer yet thrifty for an octopus skimmer would that possibly be whats causing the sand to merchandise e rotate rusty?One other inanimate object my one anchorite crab died around 3 days ago i bought 3 to have them eating algae and to have a join things in my tank i never reasoning anything of it when it died but this morning i noticed also a tiny...
